Hey guys well I wanna tell you something that would represent my school. I am an 8th grader at Ilima intermediate and I am about to leave here soon so I wanna make a post while I am still here. Ilima Intermediate is one of the middle schools here in Ewa Beach. There are a variety of teachers with many different styles of teaching just like in any other school. We have what they call here teams. I am in team 8-1. I am not really sur why we haveit but each team is like a different family in the school. Anyways well the only thing that I know that makes this school very unique is that we are the only middle school on the island that holds an 8th grade graduation. Other than that it's a regular school soo umm yeah.. ;D
The class that got me into this student challenge thing is my leadership class. Which is like student government. We host alot of activities at school like the winter fairs, dances, banuete and everything. We even do the yearbook. It's a fun class yet we have so much to do and we hold alot of responsibilities. I find it a very unique class because we submitt work through our websites we have created and through this blogger website. Well that's all I gotta say so yeahh ... (:

Durig the second week of fourth quarter we did an activity called Orientation for sixth graders. We had to welcome alot of people to the school and show them that the school isn't scary. We also showed them around campus, told them about the bell schedual and the first day they come to school . Orientation was done by us leadership students at the cafe in school . I had to create a banner to hold up and help explain to the students about schedual pick up and the prices. It included bus prices, lunch, student fees , planner and yearbook. We also had to incorporate two dances for orientation one for our period dance and one for our whole entire group dance. In the end we all had a great time meet ing the new sixth graders and had no problem with it. I'm glad that orientation is over because it's like a huge load lifted off your shoulders.

Welcome to Hawaii !
Hey ! So well yeah I'm a local residing at Oahu, Hawaii, and let me tell you that it's a pretty great place to be. You have the beaches, lovely hotels and great places to eat and explore. Ive been living here since my entire life and well I could tell you so much. If I was a tourist the first place I would of coarse do is check out a hotel. A hotel that I prefer is one by the beach which probably could be the Marriot hotel. The reason why I say this is because they charge 300.00 For one room for one day & night. It's pretty big and cool cause it's just a place to hang out at you got the pool and what not of coarse but also it's nearby a bunch of places nearby the hotel. Across the hotel is the Waikiki beach where you probably may be interested in and also there's a bunch of places to eat.
Speaking of food If you came to eat of coarse you would like to try local food. I know that there are local foods all over probably at your hotel ! (: Remember to try the shaved ice :D my most recommended desert if you have a sweet tooth like me.
I do not live in Waikiki sadly. I live in a community called Ewa Beach ! I've lived in Ewa beach since I was 5 so I kinda know places well. It's not much to do but go to the beach && cruise around longs or something. So I usually go out to downtown or other places. The only thing that's different for Ewa beach compared to other people is that there are two different sections Ewa Beach where houses look like normal houses and those that look like twin houses called ocean point. Majority of people live in Ocean point because there are over 20,000 houses there. Also that all the fast food restaurants are close to each other in my area which means you never get hungry if you got cash on you ;D
It's a great place filled with many different people with different ethnic background. most people here speak English so don't worry you don't need to speak Hawaiian .~. And last but not least when you visit remember bring shorts && a bathing suit to just chillax at your time here. <3

TSUNAMI ALERT !
Mkay, This is a little late well anyway, Saturday march 12 there was a tsunami alert after an 8.9 earthquake hit Japan. The alerts actually started on March 11th where there was a breaking news about the tsunami and that the first wave was going to hit at midnight. So at 10 me and my family began to pack up to evacuate still unsure about where to go. I stayed calm then like instinct began to post for everyone living near the beach on Oahu to Evacuate. I also saw some heart breaking pictures posted online about the earthquake that hit japan. (Which will be posted at the end of this post) But the thing that got me paranoid was this video I saw posted that If the earthquake does hit.
this video made me begin to panic so I told my mommy and daddy to hurry up and get ready to go to my grandmas house in the mountains. Instead which disapointed me was that we ended up staying in Waipahu with my cousin Loverlie. Me and my cousin were both worried so we began asking where will we be going after our parents said that we was staying there and that if the tsunami does happen then were heading upstairs.I then found out that the tsunami is going to hit not at 12 but at 3. I was to afraid to fall asleep thinking what if I died however at 2 in the morning I finally convinced myself that I should fall asleep and it's better to die asleep.
What surprised me was that I awoke to 7:00 in the morning to my cousin jumping onto the bed. She told me it was 7 feet so I got pretty mad that I was worrying for nothing. We went home once the news said we got to go home, and once I got home I continued the rest of my day dreaming.
